Totally Tuesday

Today was Tuesday and it was a wacky day.  We had 80 minutes of specials this morning in PE.  We also went to the computer lab.  While in the computer lab we learned about needs and wants.  We will continue to look at this topic in social studies over the next few days. 

I did get an email today about the missing word family for the spelling homework this week.  I will correct that matter tomorrow and have learned that it is not a good idea to work on schoolwork when you have a temperature.  I hope that everyone will be understanding with my error.

After lunch we worked on a special surprise project that will be going home later this month. While students were working on this project I also worked on some PALS quick check screenings.  The results of these will be coming home with interim repoorts next week. 

Later this week we have The Brain Show on Thursday at 9 AM and again Thursday night.  I will be out of school on Thursday for some professional development, however I hope to make it back at night to catch the show.  Hope to see you there.

Out Sick Today

I am sorry to report that I am out sick today.  Mrs. Murphy a wonderful and VERY experienced retired teacher was in my classroom today.  I know that it is very difficult when I am out, but please understand that I do try not to miss unless I am really sick or I am in professional development. 

Tomorrow we have extended specials from 8:55 - 10:15.  Our schedule is going to be a little strange for the rest of the day, but it will be a great day!

We have The Brain Show this Thursday at school.  Our class will be going at 9 AM.  There will also be another show in the evening if you would like to come and see what it is all about.  It is a lot of fun and hopefully I will see many families there.
